FC Barcelona have revealed the duration of the unavailability of French central defender Samuel Umtiti.
Injured on Monday in training, the 28-year-old footballer was operated on for a fracture of the fifth metatarsal of his right foot, as planned, on Tuesday. In a statement, the Catalan club said that the 2018 world champion will be out of action for regarding three months. As a result, the former Olympique Lyonnais player will not return to competition until April.
Since the start of the 2021-2022 season, Samuel Umtiti has only played one game. As a reminder, the native of Yaoudé has extended his contract until June 2026 with the Blaugrana.
