The Chamber of Deputies of the province will meet in extraordinary sessions on Monday 8th at 8pm and Tuesday at 00am to deal with the health emergency project in the public health system, sent by Governor Rolando Figueroa.
The Parliamentary Work commission chaired by Vice Governor Gloria Argentina Ruiz and which included the participation of the block heads, resolved it at their meeting on Friday.
The initiative seeks to declare a health emergency for one year –with the possibility of extending it for a similar period – and grants special powers to the Ministry of Health, within the framework of law 2141 de financial administration and control, to acquire by direct contracting the goods, services and supplies necessary to guarantee access to health, following a substantiated report.
The foundations of the project are centered on the critical situation of the health system, aggravated by the “lack of basic medical supplies, medications, food, machinery and laboratory reagents that affect diagnosis, outpatient care, hospitalization and medication of patients”.
The proposal also creates a health emergency committee that must submit a report every 45 days to the Human and Social Development Commission of the Legislature on health conditions, supply of supplies, equipment maintenance and detected needsas.

The provincial deputy Lorena Parrilli (Union for the Homeland) He said that without the proposed law, the government can make emergency purchases under the financial management law. “We want to emphasize that direct hiring must have some type of control,” said the deputy.
“You can buy them supplies and hire professionals, regardless of what it costs“, he said and warned that they will propose that these expenses have a control and monitoring regime “so that there is no over-invoicing and friends of politics are not hired.” He also asked Ruiz that, in addition to this law, the chamber asks Congress to address Javier Milei’s DNU.
