It was in the spring of 1997 that the collaboration between Olivier Perrin and FC Metz began. The story between the two parties ultimately lasted 26 years and ended this month of November. A figure far from insignificant and which marks a successful passage on the banks of the Moselle.

During his Garnet years, Olivier Perrin held numerous positions within the Metz entity. His work in training was notably rewarded in 2010, when the Metz under-18s managed to win the Gambardella Cup, the third in the club’s history.

Subsequently, this recognized trainer took over the management of Deni Biram Ndao in Senegal to become the general manager of Génération Foot, in 2013 and where he once once more managed to obtain convincing results.

On the banks of Lac Rose, this dedicated and passionate man has greatly participated in the sporting evolution of the Academy, first division champion in 2017 and 2019, and winner of the Senegal Cup in 2015 and 2018. Above all, his training skills have contributed to the emergence of several local talents, such as Ismaïla Sarr, Pape Matar Sarr or more recently Lamine Camara, whose future was written, for each of them, at FC Metz.

Returning to Lorraine in the summer of 2018 to take charge of the training center, Olivier Perrin once more led the Senegalese academy during the 2021-2022 season, embodying the transversality of Moselle training between the three sites (Metz, Génération Football and Seraing).

From now on, Olivier Perrin’s future will be written under other skies. From this long common history was born a relationship of trust and rich in success. FC Metz would like to thank Olivier for his work accomplished in Garnet as well as his professionalism. The club also wishes him the best for the rest of his career and the greatest success in his new projects and challenges to come.
