Reactions in Lebanon react to the Foreign Ministry statement criticizing the Russian invasion of Ukraine, and Hezbollah stands at the forefront of critics of Minister Abdallah Bou Habib, who was left alone as the Cabinet refrained from including the statement issued by the Foreign Ministry on the agenda of its last session. Hezbollah attacked Minister Bou Habib, and the party’s deputy, Hassan Fadlallah, accused him of “lying down” and “sticking his nose” in an international conflict. He said, “What was issued by the Lebanese Foreign Ministry regarding what is happening between Russia and Ukraine does not express the position of the Lebanese people, nor the position of the Lebanese state.”
