The Lebanese elections.. The start of the polling process for the employees

The voting process for officials assigned to heads of clerks, clerks and assistants in the parliamentary elections begins today in all Lebanese districts.

Today, the second phase of the Lebanese parliamentary elections began, as employees working as heads of pens, clerks and assistants in the scheduled entitlement, who number regarding 15 thousand, will vote in the government palaces in all Lebanese districts.

The polls will close at 7 pm, following which they will be transferred to the Central Bank of Lebanon, where they will stay until May 15, the date of the parliamentary elections scheduled on Lebanese soil.

And it took place a few days before the first phase of the elections, as the percentage of expatriates voting in the Lebanese parliamentary elections to be held inside the country in the middle of this month reached regarding 60%, according to preliminary figures announced by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

About 130,000 Lebanese expatriates out of 225,000 registered voted in the polling process abroad, which took place on Friday and Sunday in 58 countries, according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

This was the second time that expatriates entitled to vote were allowed to participate in the election of the 128 representatives.

After the voting ended, the process of transferring the ballot boxes, following sealing them with red wax, through a private shipping company to Lebanon, to be deposited in the Central Bank, provided that the votes were counted at the end of the elections.

The elections will be held on May 15th. 103 electoral lists comprising 718 candidates distributed over 15 electoral districts are competing in the elections to select 128 deputies in Parliament.
