The lawyer Camille Vásquez, of Colombian origin, who defends Johnny Depp

One of the most mediatic legal cases in Hollywood is without a doubt the one that leads Johnny Depp y Amber Heard for domestic violence and defamation, which might end on May 31.

And although the protagonists of this trial have been both actors, the lawyer Camille Vásquez has also played a relevant role as Depp’s legal advisor in this case, due to the rigor that she has professionally and the interrogations that she has made to Heard.

Camille Vasquez is a lawyer 38 years old and of Colombian-Cuban parents that, due to his work and the impetus with which he has defended the protagonist of the ‘Pirates of the Caribbean’ saga, has become popular on social networks.

Caso Johnny Depp y Amber Heard

The jury that attends the defamation lawsuit between Johnny Depp and Amber Heard, which takes place in Fairfax, near Washington DC, will resume its deliberations on Tuesday following meeting for a couple of hours on Friday following closing arguments were presented.

The 58-year-old actor filed a $50 million lawsuit once morest his ex-wife alleging that ruined his career and his reputation following publishing a column in the press in 2018, in which she described herself as “a public figure who represents domestic violence”.

In turn, Heard, 36, filed a counterclaim for 100 million by pointing out that suffered “violence” and “abuse” by her ex-husband.

In her closing statement, Elaine Bredehoft, the actress’s attorney, said Depp’s libel suit and a campaign of “global humiliation” had made Heard’s life “pure hell.”
