New day, new rumor. This time once more it is the NVIDIA RTX 4090 and its small sisters. And the rumor of the day concerns the release date on which the future flagship graphics card from NVIDIA.
The AD102 and AD103 GPUs would share the same PG139 board
First of all, it should be noted that we are on a rumor. Our colleagues at VideoCardz were able to learn that the release of the 40XX series graphics cards might begin as early as August. specify that we already talked yesterday of this information, but VideoCardz brings new information by insisting on the fact that these dates are for the moment very safe, but that things can also change very quickly as we are close to the launch.
Thereby, the RTX 4090 would be launched in August followed by the RTX 4080 in September and the last one the RTX 4070 would land in October. But it is very likely that the dates will change since RTX 3000 stocks are still substantial as long as supply has increased in recent weeks, contributing to lower prices. Indeed, it would have been complicated for NVIDIA to launch a new series of cards before having sold out the maximum stock of the old generation.
Also, what’s really new here is that the AD102 and AD103 GPUs (RTX 4090 and 4080) would actually share the same PG139 card. The RTX 3090 would use the SKU 330 designation and the RTX 4080 the SKU 360. Note, however, that NVIDIA has not yet formalized anything on these specifications and would not have updated its partners either. We must therefore remain very careful since all this is still subject to change.
Either way, it’s all still at the rumor stage. For the moment, no information (or almost) has filtered from NVIDIA on future graphics cards. We will therefore have to wait a few more weeks or months before having something to eat with regard to the future watches of the greens.
