The latest iPhone update is draining the battery | Technology and cars

A new report revealed a problem that appears following updating iPhone users to iOS 15.4, which leads to the phone’s battery draining quickly.

Apple recently released the iOS 15.4 update for iPhone users, along with iPadOS 15.4, watchOS 8.5, macOS Monterey 12.3, tvOS 15.4, and also HomePod 15.4.

Apple has introduced iOS 15.4 with the feature of unlocking the phone with a Face ID camera with the use of a mask and without the need for an Apple smart watch, provided that this feature supports users of the iPhone 13 series and iPhone 12 series only.

Also with the features provided by Apple in the iOS 15.4 update, however, some user reports have been monitored that confirm the battery charge is drained quickly following installing the new update.

Some iPhone 13 Pro Max users have indicated that the phone battery lasts for a charging life that does not exceed half a day following the update, while the iPhone 11 battery charge decreased by 80% within 24 hours, and other reports that confirm the rapid depletion of the battery.

Reports confirm that the problem is limited on some iPhone phones at the moment, while some expectations indicate that the reason is due to Apple’s fixes for security holes, which amount to 39 fixes in this update, but this rapid battery drain is higher than expected.

While some indicate that Apple’s addition of a 120Hz ProMotion refresh rate is the reason that leads to battery depletion, this feature is limited to the iPhone 13 Pro and Pro Max phones, while reports confirmed that the problem appeared in other versions that do not include this feature.
