Dr. Yasser Abdel Qader, Professor of Oncology at Qasr Al-Ainy Medicine, and the physician treating the late artist Hisham Selim, revealed that the late artist was keen to spread joy among oncology patients while he was in the hospital for treatment, adding that he had recently discovered that he had lung cancer, and he was in the last stage of the disease, In spite of that, he was satisfied with the decree of God, loving life, and obedient to the doctors who followed up with them during the treatment period.
The treating doctor of the late artist Hisham Selim said in exclusive statements to “Youm7 TV”, that the late artist had a strong will and courage in the face of the disease, and in addition to that, he created a state of human relations with the doctors and patients he was dealing with during the treatment period.
And about the last period in the life of the late artist Hisham Selim, the doctor treating him said that his response to the treatment was weak, but he appreciated the efforts of the doctors, and thanked them for the sympathy and help they showed him due to his condition.
And the doctor treating the artist, Hisham Selim, continued that he offers his condolences to the family and fans of the late artist, especially since he had a human relationship with him, and the late artist called him on the last Eid al-Adha, congratulating him on the holiday and reassuring his condition.
Dr. Yasser Abdel Qader pointed out that lung cancer was only discovered in its late stages because the nature of the disease is that it does not appear with clear symptoms that the patient can detect early, explaining that 70% of lung cancer cases are not discovered except in the advanced stages of the disease, indicating that sputum Hemorrhage is one of the signs of advanced lung cancer.
