Something to look forward to: Naughty Dog had previously confirmed that its PlayStation 5 remake of The Last of Us would eventually land on PC. However, someone from the studio recently commented that PC users shouldn’t have to wait too long following the PS5’s initial launch. Naughty Dog has also released a new deep dive into the upcoming title.
Over the weekend, a senior artist at Naughty Dog hinted that the studio’s remake of the original The Last of Us will be coming to PC “very soon” following its PlayStation 5 release. Those words are vague, but they do. may set a precedent for Sony’s PC port cadence in the future.

So far, all of the old PlayStation-exclusive games that Sony has brought to PC have arrived on the platform several years following their release on PlayStation 4. However, they all originally came out on PS4 before Sony started porting PC games. The company has yet to say how quickly it will release PC conversions of games made following its cross-platform policy begins. Horizon Forbidden West launched on PS5 in February but so far Sony hasn’t confirmed a PC version.

Naughty Dog’s clue comes following the studio published an in-depth video explaining everything he did to update The Last of Us, which he originally released in 2013 for the PlayStation 3. Naughty Dog rebuilt every model and texture from scratch, AI reviewed enemy and added many accessibility features.
The Last of Us is coming to PS5 on September 2.
