It’s been a very long time since instant rumors indicate that Naughty Dog would be preparing a remake of the very first The Last of Us, originally released in 2013 and ported to PS4 via a remaster.

The Last of Us Remak, an old and persistent rumor

The most recent clues evoked the work of Visual Arts Service Group, a division of Sony whose purpose is to help internal studios with animations and visuals. She would have worked on a project called 1TX, which would have taken the form of a revamp of Uncharted. An idea that would have been set aside in favor of The Last of Usbefore the project was repatriated to Naughty Doghowever retaining Visual Arts Service Group as support.

This all made sense to observers when Robert Morrison, who works at Visual Arts Service Group and is said to be behind the project, said that several “bangers” will be released this year, which he’s not talking regarding God of War : Ragnarok, and that he had been working on the project for 3 to 5 years. Information that join those of VGC and certain insidersenhancing the credibility of the rumor.

New clues regarding these remakes spotted on a developer’s profile

It takes on even more momentum today, with the LinkedIn profile of a QA tester from Naught Dog. The latter, named Corey Hong, worked on The Last of Us Part II, Uncharted : Legacy of Thieves Collection, multiple unannounced projects. He also specifies, separately, that he is currently working on a multiplayer game and a remake not advertised. Two titles which are partners for months to a The Last of Us multiplayer game and the remake of the first game.
