The largest Microsoft games disappeared from Steam in Russia – even if they were bought | Games

Steam users have complained regarding the end of support for some Microsoft games, including Sea of Thieves, Halo Infinite multiplayer, Gears 5, Minecraft Dungeons, Age of Empires IV and other titles. They became unavailable even if they were already purchased by a player from Russia.

When trying to access the page of many titles from Microsoft, the gamer receives a message: “An error occurred while processing your request: this product is not available in your region.” Users note that not all Microsoft titles have disappeared from Steam. Perhaps this is due to certain agreements between the publisher and the developers.

Microsoft suspended sales of their goods and services on the territory of the Russian Federation on March 4. At that time, company representatives did not specify whether the changes in the corporation’s policy would affect customers who already own its products. The decision was made because of the hostilities on the territory of Ukraine.
