THE movement in the ports of Attica has been increased since early in the morning while the roads around them also showed intense traffic without, however, creating major problems in the movement of vehicles.

The Cyclades are again this year the most popular choice for the majority of licensees and ships to these destinations depart with high occupancy.

Today (3/8) an additional 26 routes departed from Piraeus, for Paros, Naxos, Donousa, Aegiali, Astypalaia, Katapola, Patmos, Leros, Kos and Rhodes, while 26 routes will take place on Sunday from the port of Piraeus, showing that we are entering the “hot” season of summer.

At the same time, from Rafina this morning, 12 ships depart for Tinos, Mykonos, Paros, Ios, Santorini, Andros and Marmari.

From the port of Lavrio, 11 routes to Kea, Agios Efstratios, Limnos, Kavala, Kythnos, Serifos, Sifnos, Milos, Syros, Tinos, Andros and Karysto are scheduled for today Saturday, while on Sunday there will be 10 routes to the same destinations .

The Traffic Authority has already taken emergency measures on the national roads, with the traffic being particularly high while traffic jams are observed in many parts of the National roads to Corinth and Lamia, especially at the tolls.

In the meantime, from 17/6 to 28/7, 2,120 checks were carried out and 24 violations were confirmed for failure to inform the competent Authority about changes in ticket prices and fines were imposed. Controls in the context of monitoring the prices of coastal ferry tickets continue by the Ministry of Shipping through the Port Authorities.
