Faced with the constant transformations that the world of work has experienced in recent years, organizations are becoming increasingly competitive and, consequently, the requirements relating to the professional profile are also changing. Now, to remain relevant in the market, employees need to continually reinvent themselves and thus be able to meet the demands of this new, even more dynamic, globalized and uncertain scenario.
A survey sponsored by São Paulo Regional Board of Directors – CRA-SP with those registered in May of this year, showed that entering the labor market has been more difficult in recent years. O study, carried out with 439 graduates from the Administration area (graduates in technological and baccalaureate courses) revealed that more than 80% of respondents who graduated more than 21 years ago finished college employed or got a job less than a year following completing the course, with the majority of them (63, 6%) had no difficulties with daily routines following college. However, of professionals who graduated less than 10 years ago, only 43.4% entered the job market shortly following graduation and 31.3% of them are still not employed in the area.
Among the possible factors that justify this change over time are the constant transformations that are taking place, inside and outside companies, mainly due to the advancement of technology, which make students leave college already outdated for the practice developed in organizations.
ENCOAD 2023
But, following all, what skills and competencies are companies looking for nowadays? What makes a professional desired by the market? What is the professional profile that most attracts recruiters? To answer these and other questions, CRA-SP, in partnership with its Excellence Groups, will promote on September 13th and 14th the 14th edition of ENCOAD – Meeting of Knowledge in Administration.
The event, which will have the participation of more than 40 experts to address issues related to the central theme “The Employability Algorithm”, will include lectures, interviews and panels in its programming. Among the topics addressed are strategies for the future scenario; the ESG universe; skills for employability; female strength in the job market; in addition to the role of CRA-SP in the development of society.
For the Chairman of the Board, Adm. Alberto Whitaker, the discussion of these issues is very relevant not only for management professionals, but for society as a whole. “We need to understand what the current world asks of us in terms of skills and this speed of transformation forces us to talk regarding the topic on a daily basis. For professionals, the debate brings clear insights on how to prepare. For companies and educational institutions, the theme encourages dialogue and promotes greater synergy with students and professionals. And, for society, the discussion becomes important as it adds social, environmental and ethical aspects that cannot be disregarded”, he emphasizes.
Among the confirmed guests for the ENCOAD 2023 there are José Vicente, rector of the Zumbi dos Palmares University; Carolina Dostal, director of ABRH-SP, LinkedIn specialist and career mentor; Whiny Fernandes, specialist in Employer Branding and mentor of Startups and Career; Morris Litvak, CEO and founder from Maturi; Thalita Gelenske, founder of Blend Edu and LinkedIn Top Voice; Paula Esteves, partner and CO-CEO of Cia de Talentos; Carol Milters, writer, speaker and consultant on mental health at work; and Ana Chauvet, CEO of I9Hunter and LinkedIn Top Voice.
