[스포티비뉴스=신원철 기자 / 이충훈 영상기자] The LA Dodgers are poised to dominate free agency majors.

The Dodgers, who signed Shohei Ohtani with a 10-year, $700 million contract, the largest in sports history, and gave Yoshinobu Yamamoto a 12-year contract, the longest contract for a major league pitcher, are now expected to recruit Josh Hader, the biggest bullpen pitcher.

On the 10th, MLB.com also mentioned the Dodgers when listing teams that might recruit free agent closing pitcher Hader.

The Dodgers have emerged as a new axis of evil in the Major League this winter. Ohtani’s $680 million future payment terms allowed the team to sign more players.

They already spent over 1 billion dollars, or over 1 trillion won in Korean money, just to recruit Otani and Yamamoto, but they didn’t stop there. He signed Tyler Glasnow to a five-year, $135 million contract following acquiring him in a trade, and signed slugging outfielder Te Oscar Hernández to a one-year, $23.5 million contract.

MLB.com reported, “The Dodgers already have Evan Phillips and Brusdar Graterol, but the addition of Hader might make the bullpen even stronger,” adding, “Looking at the Dodgers’ aggressive player recruitment, there is a possibility.”

Again, the key is the size of the contract. MLB.com predicted that Hader wants more than $102 million over five years from Mets closer Edwin Dias, saying, “If this level of contract fails, he might join the Dodgers.” Since he will not be able to set a new closing pitcher contract record, he is better off trying to win a championship with the Dodgers.
