“Washington says that if there were no Russian missile strikes, there would be no counter-missiles fired by Ukrainian forces,” the Kremlin spokesman added, in a conference call with reporters.
He continued, “But if you follow this logic, you can take the situation back further and come to the conclusion that if there is no complete unwillingness on the part of the United States and NATO to take into account Russia’s concerns and discuss the draft treaties with Russia that have been formulated and submitted, there will be no need for a special military operation.”
And US Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin said, on Wednesday, that the United States “has not seen any information so far that contradicts the initial Polish assessment that the explosion was most likely the result of a Ukrainian missile,” adding: “Whatever the final conclusions are, the world knows that Russia bears responsibility.” final on this incident.
