Reuters reported on Thursday that Russia is making it more difficult for some officials to travel abroad over fears that foreign powers may try to gain access to state secrets amid the worst crisis in relations with the West in more than 60 years.
“All agencies have minor differences in terms of the current foreign travel approval regime,” Dmitry Peskov told a daily conference call with reporters.
“There are services where travel for employees is really not allowed. These are services and departments where there is an information process to give approval,” the Kremlin spokesman said.
