The Kings win in Memphis and sign a 7th row victory

At the end of an unbreathable money time until the end, De’Aaron Fox and company validate a seventh victory in a row on the ground of the Grizzlies. The Kings continue their rise in the Western Conference.

For the house score box, just ask.

The sun continues to shine in Sacramento! 6 wins in a row, a warm place in the Top 5 in the West, what might be wrong with our friends the Kings? Some would say that a curse is never far away when things are going too well. So we tested the theory by sending a little heart on the kings as an aperitif. Could Mike Brown’s men withstand such pressure? A good test presented itself with the Grizzlies. Curse obliges, Ja Morant miraculously returned from injury for the occasion. Do we feel it coming the socket there?

Well no, Sacramento once once more managed to slip through the cracks. However, the Kings played to be scared, even very, very scared. After a start to the match in favor of Memphis, the crowned heads quickly took over the controls. Sacto is gaining momentum, De’Aaron Fox (32 points, 6 assists, 8 rebounds, 4 steals) gets hot on the way back from the locker room, we are heading for a controlled and serious victory for the Kings. And then comes this second part of money time…

12 points ahead, just over 4 minutes from the end. For the old Sacramento this is a low certainty but for the new Sacramento it is normally an almost managed affair. And well no. The Kings will chain bad choices and ball losses and give hope to Memphis with a Ja Morant who sounds the charge more than ever. Fortunately, Harrison Barnes is well in his match and he manages to recover a few throws in the trade but it breathes with a straw on the side of the staff of Mike Brown. Returning to -3, the Oursons will even have the opportunity to equalize with 3 shots from Morant a few seconds from the end but the leader misses one and plays badly on the last shot. Fox finishes the job on the line and gets his people out of a nasty trap.

2004, what does this date refer us to? It was the last time Sacramento had a 7-game winning streak. The golden age of Chris Webber, Mike Bibby, Peja Stojakovic in particular. 18 years later, Californians are following in the footsteps of their elders and they hope to do so until next spring. With the key, a qualification in… Playoffs?
