The story of “The King’s Musketeers” began in June 1991, when the play premiered with a renowned cast, led by Miguel Ángel Solá, Hugo Arana, Darío Grandinetti and Juan Leyrado in the leading roles. For five years, the production achieved undeniable successes and was recognized with numerous awards from specialized critics, including the Premio Prensario 1991/92, the Leónidas Barletta Award 1992, Estrella de Mar Awards in 1992 and 1993, ACE Theater Awards in 1992, and the Carlos Paz Awards in 1994.
An achievement that marked a milestone in the history of Argentine theater was the sponsorship granted by UNESCO to “Los Mosqueteros del Rey” for its promotion of solidarity and friendship between human beings. This recognition, the first of its kind for an Argentine work, underlines the cultural and social value of the production.

Now, three decades following its original premiere, “Los Mosqueteros del Rey” returns to the Buenos Aires billboard at the Teatro Astral, promising to continue with the successes that made it unforgettable. The direction, once more by its author, Manuel González Gil, ensures that the essence and spirit of the work remain intact.
The set design, designed by Julieta Askar, the costumes by Sofía Di Nunzio, the music and arrangements created by Martín Bianchedi, and the choreography by Rubén Cuello, guarantee a unique theatrical experience.
The plot of “The King’s Musketeers” develops in a comic context where four actors fight to start the performance, but a series of current incidents and errors prevent them. Forgetful text, confusion in inputs and outputs, contradictions and comments on the original story are just some of the obstacles they face. The play plays with the “acting error” and builds a hilarious piece, full of occurrences and unmissable moments.
Nicolás Cabré, Jorge Suárez, Nicolás Scarpino and Fredy Villarreal come together to make the audience laugh for 90 minutes in a work that has won national and international awards and distinctions. “The King’s Musketeers” is a lasting testament to Argentine theatrical excellence that continues to enchant audiences and promises to continue doing so in future performances.
