The duo The Kills is back and sets the pace for the entire genre.
After almost seven years, the duo The Kills – Alison Mosshart and Jamie Hince – are delivering new music once more: With the two songs “New York” and “LA Hex” they announce a promising comeback.
The two guide us thematically through the pulsating metropolises of New York and Los Angeles. While “New York” evokes the signature soundscape that made The Kills famous with Alison Mosshart’s somber guitar riff and powerful vocals, the second track “LA Hex” creates an exciting new, almost hypnotic atmosphere. Distorted trumpets layer over the captivating lo-fi beat and intertwine with the sinister vocals.
The two singles are accompanied by accompanying music videos, both of which were directed by Andrew Theodore Balasia.
The captivating visualizations perfectly match the complex soundscapes and bring them to life. The indie rock duo can be seen sometimes bloodied at the ring and sometimes in the sunny heart of LA.
To celebrate her comeback properly, die Band Events in New York and Los Angeles have already been announced. The band has not yet announced any further information regarding the following releases.
