The story is set in the Metropolitan Police Department’s Unidentified Persons Advice Center, which identifies the 20,000 nameless bodies found across the country and returns them to their families. The eccentric Mita Sakura (Koshiba), who volunteered to be assigned to the center, and Tsukimoto Makoto (Oshima Yuko), a colleague 10 years older than her but with completely opposite personalities and hobbies, solve the mystery with the help of a few clues left behind on the bodies. This is a completely original story that combines mystery and human drama. It begins with an unidentified body and depicts the hidden feelings of the dead.

In episode 7, Buddy runs around trying to solve the mystery surrounding the “left behind dog” of an unidentified corpse. Ogo, who plays Chiaki, a young woman who died mysteriously after leaving behind her dog, which is the catalyst for the story, said, “Together with the staff and cast, I thought deeply and deeply about the character’s background and way of life, and while leaving room for imagination, I think that Chiaki was honest with her feelings and looked for a way to live with her heart until the end. If she had lived, the story would have continued, but the time we live is not infinite, and that is why I felt the importance of conveying our feelings to others now.” She also raised expectations, saying, “I was only able to work with Fuka Koshiba and Yuko Oshima in one scene, but it was a very important scene in which Chiaki’s feelings were conveyed. Please watch it.”

Miyamoto, who plays a groomer at a grooming salon who holds the key to the story, commented, “I’ve been watching the drama since the first episode, so I was really happy when I heard about the offer. I couldn’t help but feel that the characters who suddenly lose their loved ones are something that could happen to me. I watch every episode while holding back my tears. I approached the script with the hope that I could be of some help to people who are suffering in the same way. Even though we live in an age of diversity, each person has their own way of thinking, and I think there are still many challenges to be overcome. Still, just loving someone is something that everyone is free to do and no one can stop you from doing so, and through Mayumi, I was able to feel that it is also a miracle to meet someone who can feel that way.”

She then said, “Because I was only making a guest appearance, I was really nervous the day before filming began, but both Koshiba-san and Oshima-san were very friendly and I was very grateful that they were able to talk to me. I think the death of a loved one can happen suddenly to anyone. I’m sure that day will come for all of us. But when that time does come, I think this story will make you want to live your life without regrets, and it’s a sad but uplifting story that will make you feel positive! I hope you’ll check it out.”

It was also announced that Akio Kaneda will play Chiaki’s father, and the latest scene cuts from the story were also released. What is the feeling that the unidentified corpse entrusted to his beloved dog, and where does he really want to return to?
