The Kansas City Chiefs clinched Super Bowl LVII by scoring in an electrifying 38-35 duel once morest the Philadelphia Eagles
The Kansas City Chiefs stayed tonight with Super Bowl 2023, becoming the season champions of the National Football League (NFL), following defeating the Philadelphia Eagles 38-35.
Despite going down on the scoreboard for long periods of the game, the team from the Western Division of the American Conference made a difference in the last quarter and was left with the highest honors in the prestigious American football league.
The Eagles dominated the pace during the first half, leading 24-14, but their defense melted following the break.
In addition, the Philadelphia infield joined the Atlanta Falcons (2017) as the only team to have lost a Super Bowl following leading by at least 10 points at halftime.
The Chiefs reached the definition at State Farm Stadium in Glendale (Arizona, USA) with a record of 14 wins and 3 losses, as the best in the American Conference (AFC).
After winning Super Bowl LVII, in its third definition in four years, the Kansas City team added its third consecration following those achieved in 1970 (IV) and in 2020 (LIV).
Meanwhile, Philadelphia failed to treasure the second ring in its history following debuting its record in the 2018 Super Bowl (LII).
Pat Mahomes, the figure
Pat Mahomes struggled to come into play in the first half of the game, but then found his level and led his team to victory. Second Super Bowl for Mahomes, first African-American quarterback to double. The best of the season was chosen as the best player of the decisive clash.
Already a place among all-time great quarterbacks, Mahomes went 21 of 27 passing for 182 yards with three touchdown passes and no interceptions.
Note that the New England Patriots (2002, 2004, 2005, 2015, 2017 and 2019) and Pittsburgh Steelers (1975, 1976, 1979, 1980, 2006 and 2009) franchises are the most winning in the NFL’s top event (six Titles).
