As part of the management monitoring of the CNAMGS financial slate following the social discontent initiated by the National Union of Health Professionals (Synaps) within the N’tchengué regional hospital in Port-Gentil, an important exit meeting crisis took place on September 27, 2024. If the doctors, service majors, social partners, all the staff and Synaps were all present, it was a question of dotting the i’s on the strikers’ complaints . Invited by the general director, Dr Jonas Mboumba, it was mainly a question of discussing the payment of five months of arrears of CNAMGS premiums.
“CNAMGS owes the Port-Gentil regional hospital nearly 800 million FCFA. 45% of this amount goes to the payment of social charges, 35% for the operation of the hospital and 20% is reserved for investment. No manager of the country’s health structures is responsible for paying CNAMGS premiums. made Dr Mboumba understand.
The latter discussed at length the situation of the childcare premium and share, the increase in the childcare premium to 2,000 FCFA, the revaluation of the childcare premium according to the specificity of the services, the increase of a bonus of 10,000 F CFA for night guard services and many others. Dr Jonas Mboumba promised to make changes in terms of IT equipment, upgrading the technical platform, the availability of medicines and emergency first aid equipment and staff clothing.
For the boss of the N’tchengué hospital “we started by dressing the patients, putting wifi everywhere and fitting out all the rooms. We would also have to do marketing at the staff level, and on these points Synaps was right. And so, we made a medium-term commitment to resolve them.”
As for the strike started a few days ago by the social partner of this hospital, it is almost over. An agreement was reportedly reached between management and Synaps, which agreed to lift the mood swing.
“The general director gave feedback to the hospital staff members and we, the union, will have the opportunity to report to the staff and following this report, we will know if we were satisfied or not “, said Gildas Constant Akame, provincial secretary of Synaps.
