The judiciary closes the case of the sorcerer who killed his lover and burned her body.

The judiciary has closed the case of the sorcerer who killed his mistress and burned her body, after the Criminal Appeals Chamber of the El Jadida Court of Appeal upheld the initial ruling of life imprisonment against the accused who killed his mistress from Casablanca and burned her body, after the discussion of the case was postponed for two sessions to appoint a lawyer to defend him within the framework of legal aid.

The details of the case go back to December 15, when the gendarmerie was notified, at around 7:40 in the morning, of the discovery of a charred woman’s body in the dust of Douar Al-Nawasra, in the commune and leadership of Al-Hawzia, on the outskirts of Azemmour.

When they moved to the place, they saw that the flames were still burning on the body, so photographs were taken of it. To identify the perpetrator, surveillance cameras were used in a number of homes, shops and gas stations. The gendarmerie elements noticed a dark blue car passing by at around 3:00 in the morning. It was not possible to identify its license plate numbers due to the poor quality of the photography. Investigators discovered that there was a yellow rolled-up cover on its back seats.

After reviewing the surveillance cameras of one of the villas, the judicial police found that a fire had suddenly broken out, and then the same car had returned at high speed. The gendarmerie succeeded in identifying the point where the car had started, which was the “Al-Ghadhban” roundabout, before determining its location. The gendarmerie asked the fifty-year-old driver, who was accompanied by his son, to open the trunk, where they found a plastic bag containing a pair of slippers and women’s clothing, as well as an empty plastic bottle that smelled of gasoline.

When the driver was asked about the reason for the presence of these items in his car, he appeared confused and tried to get rid of two mobile phones by handing them over to his son, before towing the car in question to the regional command headquarters in El Jadida.

Upon arriving at the center, the sorcerer was searched, and documents were found in his wallet, including an identification card with the name of a young woman from Casablanca. After examining it, it was found that she was the subject of a search telegram for the family by the Ain Chock security. The Royal Gendarmerie also conducted a search of his home, which revealed that it was a place for practicing magic and sorcery, through the discovery of candle remains.

Al Sabah reported that after examining the two phones, photographs of the national ID card holder were found, with blue bruises all over her body, in addition to a video documenting the sorcerer asking her in a hysterical state about her having a sexual relationship with someone, asking her to confess under threat, and she confessed to that, and signs of fear and confusion appeared on her face.

The sorcerer admitted that he had an illicit relationship with the victim due to a dispute with his wife and the end of his relationship with her. He also admitted to abusing his lover as a result of her having a relationship with someone, and he documented that.

He confessed that he did his deed because he intended to marry her, and after he assaulted her, her health deteriorated until she passed away, and then he transported her in his car, after he thought about getting rid of the body and covering up the traces of his crime without revealing his matter after he bought quantities of gasoline from one of the stations and carried the body and loaded it into his car and transported it towards the Nawasra roundabout and burned it and returned to his home before his identity was determined and he was arrested.
