The Judicial Council of Río Negro designated the vacancies due to retirements and deaths

The Judicial Council met in the First Judicial District to advance in the coverage of positions that were vacant due to retirements and deaths.

The body was chaired by the head of the STJ, Liliana Piccinini, except in the election of the replacement of the Judge of Guarantees, Itziar Soly.

In that contest, the session was led by Cecilia Criado and Piccinini did not intervene since her daughter, prosecutor Georgina Amaro, who was elected to that position, participated in the contest. In addition to the other members, in this election, the president of the Judges Forum, Guillermo Bustamante, joined.

The session was also made up of legislators Nicolás Rochás, Facundo López and Lucas Pica. For the Bar Association, Ana Malis, Luciano Perdriel and Santiago Guenomil. The elections in the civil jurisdiction had the integration of Judge Ariel Gallinger and those of the Public Ministry with the Attorney General Jorge Crespo.

Unanimously, the Council appointed María Eugenia Gutiérrez Alcaraz as Secretary of the Processing Office of the Civil Jurisdiction of Viedma. The professional was already in charge of the organization, while the head of the Civil, Commercial and Mining Court was elected to replace Gabriela Tamarit, a judge who died while in office. After the interview and passing the previous stages, Julieta Díaz was elected unanimously.

Also unanimously, Carolina Villar was chosen as Deputy Defender for Cimarc Viedma.

On the other hand, se elected a judge of Guarantees, following the retirement of Itziar Soly. In that case, the member of the STJ, Cecilia Criado, took over the presidency of the body, and the president of the Forum of Judges joined.Guillermo Bustamante, to unanimously select Georgina Amaro, daughter of Liliana Piccinini, who did not intervene in that election, for the position.

The Council, furthermore, addressed the replacement of Eduardo Rosso, Secretary of the Superintendency of the Attorney General, who retired. He declared himself deserted by majority.
