The judges brought student Tutberidze to victory: she fell and barely completed the program, but this did not bother anyone

Daria Sadkova still cannot perform consistently.

The season in Russian figure skating has already begun. Even before the stages of the Grand Prix series, athletes try their hand at small tournaments. Many people showed up for the Moscow championship, but not all of them made it. Initially included in the lists Adelia Petrosyanbut before the start her application was withdrawn. Ksenia Sinitsyna had an accident before the short program, so she did not compete. Even so, the tournament turned out to be interesting.

Elizaveta Kulikova from the group Svetlana Sokolovskaya this season surprises with the choice of musical compositions. In the free program, the skater has the song “Besame Mucho” in version J2. She performed to the same composition at test skates Alexandra Ignatova (Trusova). Her short was put on a long time ago, when she was still at CSKA. Apparently Nikita Mikhailov decided to use the same composition, since Alexandra did not immediately announce her return.

After the short program, Kulikova took only 5th place due to a fall in the cascade. On the second day of the competition, she was able to pull herself together and skated without such gross mistakes. The judges only marked an unclear edge on the flip, and she also lost a cascade in the second half due to a poor exit. For her free program, Elizaveta received 128.88 points and 184.05 in total. This secured her bronze at the Moscow Championships.

Took second place Maria Agayeva. Both days it showed stable box office results, albeit with fairly average content. The most difficult element in the free program: triple lutz – double toe loop – double loop cascade. Moreover, the skater moved all the solo and cheapest jumps to the first half in order to receive bonuses for cascades. Much more important is her performance – Maria showed a bright program in a jazz style, with a lot of choreography and dance routines. Unfortunately, this was not enough to reach gold. For her free program, Agayeva received 129.85 points and 194.77 in total.

The winner of the Moscow championship was Daria Sadkova from the group Eteri Tutberidze. Even in the short program there were questions for the judges, but in the free program everything got worse. Daria started her skating with a quadruple sheepskin coat – going to the prong, almost to a stop. Only in the protocols everything is clear – up to 3 points of extra charge. Immediately after this, the skater fell from a triple flip; she tried to hold on and put her hand up. At the end of the program, Sadkova also failed to cope with the triple loop, resulting in one revolution.

After such a hard fall, the athlete had difficulty continuing the program. Everything was very slow, and the jumps were uncertain. She also sagged in skating, but in the components everything was perfect, the scores were higher than the artistic Agayeva. As a result, Sadkova received 139.06 points for her free skate with a fall and butterfly, and won the tournament with a total of 206.61. Sadkova’s stability is still lacking, as Daniil Gleikhengauz noted in a recent interview with Sport24. Changes for the better are not yet visible.
