On the occasion of the Lunar New Year of the Rabbit in 2023, the Vietnamese Embassy in Slovakia cooperated with the Vietnamese Association to organize the community New Year in Bratislava capital and Kosice city of Slovakia in a warm, joyful and bold atmosphere. national cultural traditions.

Speaking at the ceremonies, Vietnamese Ambassador to Slovakia Nguyen Tuan reviewed Vietnam’s outstanding socio-economic development achievements in the post-COVID-19 period, emphasizing the Party and State’s policy in the region. By taking people and businesses as the service center, affirming that the Embassy is a reliable address, the common home of businesses and our relatives in Slovakia.

The Ambassador highly appreciated the role of the Vietnamese Association in Slovakia as a bridge connecting the expatriate Vietnamese community with the homeland and country.

In 2022, the Vietnamese Association in Slovakia and local branches and associations have been actively, proactively and creatively timely in supporting compatriots from Ukraine, helping them stabilize their accommodation. to be able to resume life soon.

The Vietnamese community in Slovakia has contributed to the Sovereign Boat fund for Truong Sa island district and the DK1 rig with a total amount of more than 8,400 euros.

The Ambassador also congratulated the successful Congress of the Vietnamese Association in Slovakia, elected a new Executive Committee and approved the revised charter; welcomes the Association to actively work with the Slovak government so that the Vietnamese community will soon be recognized as the 14th ethnic minority of Slovakia.

In addition, Ambassador Nguyen Tuan exchanged and listened to people’s thoughts and aspirations, and at the same time encouraged the Vietnamese community to continue to gather and unite associations, helping each other in life and public affairs. for sustainable integration in the host society, abiding by the law, preserving the national cultural identity to enhance the image of the Vietnamese community’s position in Slovakia, consolidating the Slovakia-Vietnam friendship and always towards the homeland.

Representatives of the Vietnamese Association in Kosice and the Vietnamese Association in Slovakia thanked the Ambassador for always actively participating in community activities, highly appreciating the Embassy’s role in promoting Vietnam relations. -Slovakia in general and contributes to connecting the Vietnamese community with the host government in particular.
