2023-06-26 16:04:57

The Josephine Prize is a musical prize, organized by Christophe Palatre and Frédéric Junqua, its two founders. Its vocation: to discover the remarkable works of the year and to accompany their success, whether it is a dazzling first album or the masterpiece of a career. For this second edition, a jury composed of artists will distinguish the albums, according to the sole criterion of artistic quality, without barrier of musical genre and regardless of the notoriety of the performer.

The Prix Joséphine winners, namely the 10 albums of the year 2023, all styles combined, have just been unveiled:

Acid Arab – Three Benjamin Epps – The great disillusion Blaubird – The sky is everywhere Blick Bassy – Madiba Eesah Yasuke – Prophecy Flavien Berger – In a hundred years Prince Waly – Moussa Killing – Butterfly Monarch Thug – The Tiny Kingdoms Zaho de Sagazan – The symphony of lightning

The jury of artists is chaired by Eddy De Pretto and notably includes Arthur Teboul and Sofiane Pamart, as well as Vernis Rouge, a new recruit from the “Musiciens du métro” scheme. In particular, he was part of the Metro Musicians scene at the Art Rock festival in Saint Brieuc. To discover his musical style, Click here.

Throughout the summer, the Prize will offer original content on its social networks to present the winners and highlight the albums. The Joséphine Prize will be awarded to the winner at the end of September during the ceremony organized at Studio 104 of the Maison de la Radio and broadcast live on FIP.
