The Director General of the Joint Program Production Corporation of the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf, Shafiq Al-Sayed Omar, said that the play (City of Lights) is the institution’s gift to children on Eid Al-Fitr.
Mr. Omar added in a press statement today, Sunday, that this work is the first of the Foundation’s experiences in presenting educational and educational theatrical performances in an artistic framework, pointing out that the Foundation is restoring through it the high-level Gulf theatrical works that were presented during the golden phase of the history of children’s theater in Kuwait and the GCC countries. cooperation.
He pointed out that the play (City of Lights) comes as an extension of the Foundation’s strategy, which aims at its partnership with the private sector, in addition to striving to enhance creativity among children and urge them to achieve their dreams within educational awareness goals and the consolidation of social values.
He mentioned that the events of the play revolve around the child (Amal) and her mother (Basma) and their suffering in the face of poverty and war in a stormy journey of adventure, suffering and hope that ends in the City of Lights.
He stressed the institution’s keenness to be its first experience in this field by presenting a theatrical work with high-level educational and awareness values that establish the basis for presenting a number of new projects, pointing out that the work will be shown in a number of Gulf Cooperation Council countries following Eid Al-Fitr.
And he indicated that the play was written by Othman Al-Shatti, directed by Ramadan Iyad, and starring a group of young stars, including Fawz Al-Shatti, Bashar Al-Jazzaf, Youssef Al-Balushi, Fahd Bassem and Iman Al-Husseini, general supervision Khaled Al-Jeddi, and director of the production department Raed Hassan.
He added that the play will be staged at the Joint Program Production Corporation in Salmiya, starting from the first day of Eid al-Fitr, provided that reservations are made through the website and the Eventat application.
