Jerusalem – The Council of Endowments, Islamic Affairs and Holy Sites in the occupied city of Jerusalem warned of growing fears towards Al-Aqsa Mosque in light of Arab and Islamic “neglect and inability,” pointing to the occupation authorities’ persistence in “planning this behavior based on imposing facts with the logic of force.”
This came in a statement to the council following an emergency session “to study the bitter reality that Al-Aqsa Mosque is suffering from.”
The statement stressed the growing fears of “the state of official Arab and Islamic neglect and incapacity towards the issue of the Blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque, which extremist groups translated by organizing central and massive incursions into the courtyards of the Blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque.”
He pointed out that the raids coincided with the prevention of masses of Muslim worshipers from entering their Noble Mosque, in light of a bloody scene that cannot be separated from the general picture and the reality of the situation throughout the occupied territories.
The Council also affirmed “the growth and expansion of extremist groups in their storming of the courtyards of the Blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque and desecrating it under the pretext of religious holidays, and the occupation authorities’ persistence in planning this behavior based on imposing facts with the logic of force, and within the dimensions of a replacement narrative that ignores the facts of our Islamic and Arab history in the city of Jerusalem and the Blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque, which Spare no effort in abolishing and obliterating it.”
The Council of Endowments, Islamic Affairs and Holy Places appreciated “the unity of the Palestinian people around the issue of their sanctities, to which they gave precious and precious things,” calling on “all the Palestinian people in all their places of presence” to intensify their presence and solidarity in their blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque.
The Endowments Council appealed to the Hashemite Custodian of the Islamic and Christian holy sites in Al-Quds Al-Sharif (in Jordan) to mobilize the international community and call on the governments of the Islamic and Arab world to activate their available capabilities and do their duty in order to prevent this tampering and reject these unjust policies once morest one of the most important Muslim mosques linked to their faith.
The Council stressed that it is not permissible to remain silent regarding these policies “so that the tragedy that occurred at the Ibrahimi Mosque (its division in time and space) in Hebron, which was left alone without help or support, is not repeated.”
This council is affiliated with the Jordanian Ministry of Endowments, Islamic Affairs and Holy Sanctities, and its mission is to supervise the management of the Jerusalem Endowments and endowment properties, which constitute more than 50% of the properties in the honorable Holy City.
Yesterday, Thursday, settler groups intensified their storming of Al-Aqsa Mosque on the third day of what the Jews call “Easter,” in the form of groups in which 1,679 settlers participated, according to the Islamic Endowments Department in Jerusalem.
On the other hand, the occupation tightened its procedures, transformed the Old City of Jerusalem into a military barracks, and imposed restrictions on the entry of Jerusalemites to perform prayers in the Blessed Mosque, according to official Palestinian and human rights sources.
Extremist Temple groups insist on linking Easter with the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque, and mobilize their supporters before its arrival every year to carry out mass raids into the courtyards of the Holy Mosque.
Easter in the Jewish religion symbolizes the exodus of the children of Israel from Egypt to escape from Pharaoh, led by the Prophet Moses, peace be upon him, and to “give thanks to God” by offering sacrifices for saving them from Pharaoh, according to their interpretation.
