The Italian Football Federation imposes a penalty on Roma coach Jose Mourinho
Today, Wednesday, the Italian Football Association imposed a penalty on Roma coach Jose Mourinho, following he was expelled yesterday during the match that brought together wolves at Cremonese club, which ended with the latter’s victory (2-1).
Mourinho was sent off in the 47th minute of the match, following a verbal confrontation that took place between him and the fourth official.
The Portuguese coach was punished with a two-match ban, in addition to a fine of 10,000 euros, as the sports judge considered that the coach “responded strongly and provocatively to an arbitral decision.”
Commenting following the match, Mourinho indicated that it was the first time that the fourth official spoke in an “inappropriate” way during his career.
The Portuguese coach will miss his team’s confrontation with Juventus, which will be held next Sunday, in the 25th round of the Italian First Division, “Serie A”.
