Today, Tuesday, the Israeli media commented on the incidents of penetration and infiltration of Lebanese Hezbollah drones deep into the occupied Palestinian territories without being detected, wondering whether the party had found a loophole in the interception system of the occupation “army.”
This comes following the Israeli media reported that the head of the Regional Council (“Mate Asher”), Moshe Dowidowicz, said that “a Hezbollah drone fell in the yard of his house following penetrating the airspace and air defense systems.”
Yesterday, a march was also launched towards Tiberias, “which managed to infiltrate 50 km deep into Israel,” without being intercepted, according to the Israeli media.

In this context, the Israeli “Channel 12” confirmed that “today’s Hezbollah drone incident is an additional example of the security establishment’s weakness in identifying relatively small aerial pieces.”
In turn, the military affairs correspondent for the Israeli Kan channel, Itai Blumenthal, said, “The failure to detect Hezbollah drones raises harsh questions regarding detection and interception systems.”
He pointed out that “Air Force officials are talking regarding complex events and a major challenge in diagnosing Hezbollah’s air force, because they generally fly at low altitude.”
He added, “The enemy is studying, all the time, the capabilities of the Israeli army in order to diagnose and pursue them,” explaining that “the more primitive the air piece is, the more difficult it is to diagnose it, as it often has a very low thermal signature.”
The Israeli Minister of Security, Yoav Galant, visited the “Tal Shamayim” system in the north to find and detect air components and threats.
According to the Kan channel, this system is “still not operational,” and it suffered a rupture in the balloon that led to it stopping working, and it took approximately two years to repair the fault.
She added that the Minister of Security threatened Lebanon with the Israeli Air Force, but “he did not talk regarding detection systems.”
Hezbollah’s drones are an essential weapon in the battle
It is noteworthy, in this context, that the Islamic Resistance in Lebanon – Hezbollah – introduced drone weapons in the battle of the “Al-Aqsa Flood”, targeting Israeli sites and gatherings.
The party succeeded in breaching the Israeli defense systems, and in documenting this as well. Last January, the military media of the Islamic Resistance in Lebanon published scenes of an aerial reconnaissance captured by its drones of the positioning point of the Israeli “Iron Dome” missile launchers, which they targeted in the “Kfar Blum” settlement inside occupied Palestine.

The Islamic Resistance possesses an integrated system of military capabilities, especially with regard to the declared air force, represented by drones, as the party possesses reconnaissance, assault and attack drones.

The Secretary-General of Hezbollah, Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, revealed, two years ago, that “the party began manufacturing drones years ago,” stressing that “the resistance decided to activate the air defense that has been in place for years.”
