The Islamabad High Court gave a reserved verdict on the request for in-camera proceedings

The Islamabad High Court has given its verdict on the request of the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) for in-camera proceedings related to the bail application of Chairman Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Imran Khan in the cipher case. The court had reserved its decision on FIA’s request for in-camera hearing two days ago.

Chief Justice Islamabad High Court Amir Farooq, while giving a decision on the request of FIA for an in-camera hearing of the cipher case, decided that an open court hearing would be held on the bail request of Chairman PTI. The documents that have to be kept in camera will be kept in consultation with the lawyers.

The hearing on PTI chairman’s bail plea will be held on October 9. The Islamabad High Court had reserved its decision on FIA’s request for in-camera hearing 2 days ago.

The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) had taken a stand in the court that since in-camera proceedings are being conducted in the cipher case trial court, the bail application should also be processed in-camera in the High Court as there is sensitive information in this regard and before the court. There should be information, documents that cannot be made public.

Chief Justice of Islamabad High Court Aamir Farooq delivered a verdict on the application of FIA, in which the court disposed of Chairman PTI Imran Khan’s request for in-camera proceedings on bail in the cipher case.

The Islamabad High Court has decided that the bail application in the Cypher case will be heard in the open court on October 9.
