The Iron Lady of Pakistan: Fatimah Jinnah’s Lasting Impact

First of all, Happy Platinum Jubilee of Pakistan, on which a commemorative note of 75 years has also been published which will be considered as an honor by whoever will have it in the future.

I don’t know why it is that if you carefully study any field of art around the world, the events of partition of India seem to be fresh and the history and story related to it is revealing its mysteries. See it in ‘Miss Marwal’. Watch the web series on YouTube.

Why does Dil Najane say we are about to enter a new world? A series in this world which had gained popularity even before its arrival and which was eagerly awaited is the series based on the life of Ms. Fatima Jinnah.

‘Fatima Jinnah’

It is a web series, the prologue of which, aired on August 14 on ‘Or Digital’ and touched the hearts of the viewers as soon as it aired. Such excellent cinematography, such excellent music, such good acting and voice acting that you can’t stand it.

This drama consists of three periods of Ms. Fatima Jinnah’s life. Three important aspects of her life, a sister of Quaid-e-Azam, the first First Lady, a revolutionary, a woman carrying state responsibilities. Since the Quaid-e-Azam did not live long after the establishment of Pakistan, Ms. Fatima Jinnah also took a practical step in politics as a leader.

The prologue shows the creation of Pakistan and the partition of India.

The announcement of division has been announced by Radio Pakistan Lahore. The train that was coming to Lahore shows the aftermath of the carnage, with no one alive in the entire train. And Fatima Jinnah is worried seeing all this, she grabs the holy Quran from a person’s chest and puts it on her dupatta.

Sajal Ali has played the role of Fatima Jinnah in it.

It will prove to be a historical web series. Now let’s see which aspects of Fatima Jinnah’s life this series succeeds in highlighting because the bigger the personality, the wider the character.

So far, the 15-minute prologue in total has made for an intense wait. A very classic tune, meticulously written and presented and very keenly watched.

flag

A serious and thought-provoking short film ‘Parcham’ from Hum TV basically explains the philosophy of the Pakistani flag. Facts about its past and why inclusion of representation from non-Muslim minorities was necessary.

At the same time, the problems faced by the non-Muslim minorities have not only been shown with great respect but also the justification and reasons have been discussed.

The questions that arose in the minds of the new generation during all this unrest were not denied. The reality has not been turned away, but it is not so easy to write this responsibility, Imanullah Sheikh has fulfilled it very well.

We are in dire need of such dramas and films that sow the seeds of love in the age of unrest

‘A Little Conspiracy A Little Intervention’

This telefilm was presented from Hum T on Independence Day, in which the acting of Qavi Khan Sahib was seen after a long time, where the technical essence and social colors of three generations of acting were clearly seen.

The story is like the name. The children who go to America and settle not only come to Pakistan because of the greed of their inherited property, but they also get a greedy incompetent and incompetent son-in-law like themselves who has a girl with a visa to go to America. should have Thus the deal is done for both. The same Pakistani thought that dollars just go out and fall from the sky without any effort.

But grandfather and father also have a condition that they will transfer the property in the name of the granddaughter and she will stay married in Pakistan. Puti Sahiba’s greedy parents accept the condition temporarily but they play the game of conspiracy and interference.

Finally the story ends with a happy ending.

Looking at the story symbolically, Dada represents the founding generation of Pakistan. The granddaughter is of the new generation and her parents are of the middle generation. Two generations are disturbed by the intrigues and interference of this middle generation. There is a fault somewhere between the base and the base. In which outsiders have a hand. They are not able to understand that the belt of materialism is tied very tightly

Anyway, the ending of the drama was good ‘Will you marry me?’ If a girl says it, that expression should be respected.

Just as the political touch is in the name, so is the ending.

‘We are no slaves’

Story, dialogue, background music was very good but less attention was given to acting.

“The purpose of making this short film is to explain to today’s children that freedom does not mean shouting on the streets, but to understand for what purpose our elders made so many sacrifices.”

This sentence describes the story written at the end of the story.

There are three characters in the play. Grandfather and one grandson, one granddaughter. Dada represents the generation that built Pakistan.

The nostalgia in the dialogues and self-talk is probably what everyone of this generation has had in their lives without fences and relationships. For them, freedom and Pakistan mean something else.

Those who repeatedly talk to the Quaid-e-Azam. Sometimes they remember the train that arrived at Lahore station but there was no one alive in it. Sometimes they make their heart sad on the new style of celebration of the new civilization.

Dadaji’s own sister was killed at the time of partition, those who saw this time, that generation does not play the instrument, nor sing songs, nor do one-wheeling on the day of independence, their eyes only remember this time. Get wet. They want to see the next generations as leaders and the country as a leader.

The middle generation is also missing in this short film.

‘The Hope of Green Pakistan’

It’s a five-six-minute musical story that, though a commercial offering, is very powerful. It featured our legend Nadeem Baig Sahib, whose eyes were filled with hope for the future of Pakistan.

Same story grandfather and grandson. Dada, the generation whose blood, passion, hopes, future, present were all sacrificed on the soil of Pakistan. Although the hopes they had could not be fulfilled, but their grandson connects them with the world of hope on this 75th Independence Day. They become satisfied.

What Dadaji is saying to his grandson, he is actually saying to the children of the entire nation who are the beacons of hope.

The choice of locations is excellent. Green field land and stars of light in the dark.

Celebration of Independence

A humorous animated short film ‘Azadi Ka Jashan’ from Jio was also a satire on social attitudes.

Overall, most T-shows were shown on TV on this Independence Day, but YouTube channels showed very limited short dramas.

Undoubtedly, the passion of all of them was very high which cannot be summed up in this short text.

Two generations appeared to be addressing each other as if these two generations had something to do with the middle generation or the middle generation was too busy somewhere or the middle generation ignored these two generations.

All dramas, telefilms, short films were interpretations of a single poem by Ahmad Nadeem Qasmi.

May God bless my land
