The Iraqi national team beat Saudi Arabia in the “Gulf 25”

The Iraqi national team defeated its Saudi counterpart 2-0, on Monday, in the second round of the first group of the Gulf Football Championship, which is currently being held in Basra, Iraq.

The Iraqi team advanced through Ibrahim Baish in the 30th minute, before Aso Rustam added the second goal in the 88th minute.

The Iraqi team raised its tally to four points at the top of the group, with a goal difference from Oman, which finished in second place.

On the other hand, the balance of the Saudi team was frozen at three points in third place, while the Yemen team was at the bottom of the group standings without a balance of points.

The Iraqi national team will meet its Yemeni counterpart next Thursday, and the Saudi national team will play its Omani counterpart on the same day in the third round of the first group.
