The iQOO 9 global variants will have a 4,700mAh battery and 120W charging

The iQOO 9 series was unveiled in China last month. Unlike the iQOO 8 series, the iQOO 9 series is expected to hit the global market soon. India’s global rollout will begin on February 23. In addition to the vanilla and Pro models available in China, the company will also introduce a new iQOO 9 SE variant. Unfortunately, the company has not detailed the exact specifications that come with these smartphones. We can expect some similarities with the Chinese versions, but as usual, iQOO should offer it with slight differences. Today, the Indian branch has confirmed The iQOO 9 lineup will have a 4,700mAh battery with 120W fast charging in India.

This might not seem like much of a surprise to those early for the recent iQOO story. However, last year, iQOO 7 Legend was launched in India. It was the renamed iQOO 7 which charged slower at 66W instead of 120W than the Chinese variant. So it’s good to hear that the iQOO 9 series’ global variants keep charging speeds and battery capacity the same.

iQOO 9 and 9 Pro will maintain 120W charging on their 4700mAh battery

It is worth noting that iQOO has not confirmed whether all three iQOO 9 series smartphones will feature a 4,700mAh battery and support 120W charging. However, the image published by iQOO India shows a smartphone with a curved screen. This applies to the iQOO 9 Pro which has a slightly curved screen. However, there is still hope for the vanilla smartphone as the official website confirms the presence of a 4,700mAh battery with 120W charging. If vanilla had it, Pro would surely have. We do not expect the SE variant to receive the same treatment.

The iQOO 9 SE might come with a bigger battery with a capacity of 5000 mAh. However, the company is likely to reduce the fast charging speeds. It can be charged through the 66W found on last year’s iQOO flagship.

Regarding the iQOO 9 and 9 Pro, the two devices will bring the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor. Leading the camera department will be the 50MP GN5 Gimbal camera. There will also be an E5 AMOLED display with a 2K resolution, a 3D ultrasonic fingerprint scanner, a smart display chip, and 50W wireless charging. Now, we need to wait and see if this specification will be present in both variants. However, it should be noted that the Pro has already been confirmed by its main specifications through the listings.

The iQOO 9 SE sure has a weaker chipset, but we’re still betting on something from last year’s flagship segment.
