The IPO of Orange Cyberdefense is not on the agenda

PARIS (Agefi-Dow Jones)–Orange does not plan to list its Cyberdefense division on the stock market in the short term, said Christel Heydemann, CEO of the telecommunications operator, on Wednesday before the Senate Economic Affairs Committee.

“The IPO of Orange Cyberdefense is not a project in itself”, declared Christel Heydemann before the senators. “This is an important activity for which the group has planned to recruit 600 people in France next year,” added the manager.

So far, Orange Cyberdefense has invested on its own funds. “I do not exclude that we look at other means to accelerate the growth of this activity, but an IPO is not in the news”, hammered Christel Heydemann.

In a market growing by more than 10% per year, Orange Cyberdefense recorded a 14% increase in turnover last year. This division of the telecom operator plans to reach a turnover of 1 billion euros in 2023.
