L’iPhone SE 4 is expected to have a 6.1-inch LCD screen, as well as a notch on the top according to Ross Young. The analyst specializing in screens has very often had good information regarding Apple.
In October 2021, Ross Young announced that the new generation of the iPhone SE was due to arrive in 2024 with an LCD screen measuring between 5.7 and 6.1 inches and a hole in the upper part to house the photo sensor. The situation has since evolved and new information is known. The analyst mentions a 6.1-inch screen and a notch.
Does this design remind you of something? This is normal, it is the same configuration as the iPhone XR. But it is possible that there are differences. Indeed, it is rumored that Apple might still offer the Touch ID fingerprint sensor and not Face ID facial recognition, despite the notch. It would be a way for Apple to cut costs.
Touch ID would then be located on the edge, at the ignition button and not on the Home button (since it will no longer be there). This choice is reminiscent of what Apple already offers with the iPad Air and the iPad mini.
As a reminder, the rumor announcing that the iPhone SE 4 would have a design similar to the iPhone XR had already circulated this summer. It is confirmed a little more today.
