The iPhone SE 4 will feature an OLED display

Switching to OLED would provide many benefits to the iPhone SE, including better battery life.

Obviously, Apple seems to continue to bet heavily on its range of iPhone SE, its entry-level models. Sold significantly cheaper than the main models, these iPhones still have Touch ID, a less efficient chip and an LCD screen. But that might well change with the next model according to the Korean site, specialized The Elec.

It is the Chinese manufacturer BOE which would take care of the production of OLED panels for the device, Samsung and LG having won contracts for the iPhone 15. The Elec estimates that 20 million OLED screens will be produced by BOE in 2024 for the device, with Apple probably hoping for just as much. However, you should absolutely not expect to see the Dynamic Island on the iPhone at a low price.

In terms of technical characteristics, we expect an OLEd panel, therefore, with a diagonal of 6.1″ and a notch similar to that of the iPhone X. Face ID might thus be part of the game, while we expects it to have a USB-C port, as required by the European Union’s single-charger law.
