Indeed, according to this report, the design phase of the iPhone 14 Pro has just ended. Concretely, the design and hardware of the iPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max would be ready. Apple is preparing to start trial production. Foxconn’s manufacturing plants, in charge of the two high-end models, will start producing the iPhone in small quantities to understand and anticipate future problems. This would allow Apple and its subcontractors to avoid any surprises during mass production.
Trial production is also used to anticipate any supply problems, but also possible quality concerns both in hardware and design.

Also according to the report, the high-end iPhones will be sent in the next few days to Foxconn factories in China, while the iPhone 14 (and the possible iPhone 14 mini) will follow in stride and go to Luxshare, also located in China. Regarding this new iPhone, rumors are rife. The 120Hz refresh rate, then reserved for professional models in 2021, should be democratized this year. The top model, the iPhone 14 Pro, could be more focused on power and photography, with 8GB of RAM and a 48MP photo sensor. From a design point of view, all models should abandon the notch in favor of a “pill”, while the photo sensors on the back should no longer stand out.
