The Keynote 2022 is getting closer and with it the announcement of the new iPhone 14, which should adopt new features. Aesthetics, functionalities or even improved charging, Apple seems to have some surprises in store for us.

iPhone 14: what we know a week before its announcement

We have been talking to you regarding it for several days now, Apple’s Keynote is fast approaching. In a week and a few hours, we will finally know what the Cupertino company has in store for us for the next few months. MacBook, AirPods, Apple Watch and of course iPhone 14, the American giant is once once more likely to surprise more than one with its range of products.

Like every year, rumors are rife, especially regarding the Apple smartphone. Some well-informed insiders have even already shared some crisp information on Apple’s future mobile. Information that might nevertheless be brushed aside by Tim Cook during the conference on September 7th.

That being said, it is also quite possible that some rumors will be confirmed within a week, as things stand, we can already tell you that the iPhone 14 Pro should be the one with the most new features. Reduced notch, new A16 chip or even improved photo lenses, Apple intends to put the small dishes in the big ones for its flagship model.

But the progress does not stop there, sinceAccording to leaker DuanRui, the American giant is regarding to release a brand new 30W charger compatible only with the iPhone 14 Pro.

A 30W charger but still Lightning

Missing from iPhone boxes since 2020, power adapters and headphones aren’t expected to return anytime soon. Remember, it was in an ecological approach that the firm had stopped providing this type of accessory, explaining that this choice made it possible to considerably reduce the size of the packaging.

iPhone 14 Pro might use 30W charging power? Recently, a charger brand started sending out new products to the media to advertise.

DuanRui thus explains via his Twitter account that Apple might release a 30W charger in addition to the 20W one to offer faster recharges for these Pro and Pro Max models only. An exclusivity that will make some consumers talk, but which is probably explained by Apple’s desire to mark a difference between these different models.

However, the iPhone 14 should not be the model that will mark the definitive abandonment of Lightning for USB-C. This change that Apple wants to make, will therefore probably happen next year with the next generation of smartphones from the brand. Unfortunately and as you can imagine, this new 30W adapter will require you to go through the additional purchase box and knowing the prices offered by the American giant, the price of the latter should be quite high. To give you an idea, the 20 W USB‑C power adapter costs €25 on the official Apple website. That being said, we should be set very soon on all the ins and outs of the iPhone 14 as well as its accessories.
