The blue crab has recently emerged as a serious nuisance off the northeast coast of Italy.
This is because it has been introduced to the Mediterranean for several years and has been devouring clams, mussels and oysters at random.
Because of this, Italian fish farmers are on the verge of going out of business one following another.
The Italian government even allocated a budget of 2.9 million euros and regarding 4.2 billion won in Korean money to eradicate blue crabs.
