The International Financial Forum presents the winners of the Green Finance Award

Guangzhou, China (ots/PRNewswire) The International Financial Forum announced the winners of the IFF Global Green Finance Award at an awards ceremony at the conclusion of the three-day annual meeting on Sunday.

The IFF Global Green Finance Award includes the Annual Award (10 winners), the Innovation Award (10 winners) and the Spark Award (3 winners).

The Annual Awards went to the Chinese electrical equipment manufacturer Midea Group, the China General Nuclear Power Group, China Southern Asset Management, the Ant Group, the solar module manufacturer JA Solar, the global insurance company AXA, the technology giant Baidu, the Singapore producer RGE, the conglomerate Keppel Corporation of Singapore and the International Capital Market Association.

Han Seung-soo, co-chair of the IFF and chairman of the jury, assured the winners that the IFF will continue to contribute to combating climate change in the future by helping to attract more private funds to green investments.

“We are very pleased to be able to award this prize to the developers of innovative ideas that contribute to the climate resilience and ecology of our society,” said Han.

The Innovation Award, which recognizes projects that have made a significant contribution to sustainable development and carbon neutrality, was awarded to projects from CITICS, Deeprock Net-Zero Technology and Vanke Foundation, Suzhou Rural Commercial Bank and GIZ, PricewaterhouseCoopers Zhong Tian, ​​China Construction Bank and CGS International as well as Bank of Communications.

Wang Shi, president of the Vanke Foundation, whose Biosphere3 project won the Innovation Award, said at the award ceremony that Biosphere3 is a very good example of how a business platform can support urban communities in achieving carbon neutrality. “I would like to thank the IFF for recognizing this business model.”

CECEP Hundred Technical Service, China Chengxin Green Finance Technology and Sinochem Carbon were awarded the Spark Award.

Launched in 2020, the IFF Global Green Finance Award is an award for companies and institutions that use financial instruments to promote green transition and projects to achieve carbon peak and carbon neutrality.

More than 30 institutions from China, Britain, France, Germany, Switzerland, the USA and other countries have been shortlisted for this year’s awards ceremony. The 25-member jury was led by Han Seung-soo, co-chair of the IFF, Jenny Shipley, IFF board member and former Prime Minister of New Zealand, and Erik Solheim, vice-chair of the IFF.
