The internal dispute over the Soelsac electoral schedule will lead to Justice

The two sectors that dispute the leadership of the Workers’ Union of Cleaning, Services and Related Companies of Córdoba (Soelsac) continue to make announcements of parallel processes with a view to the elections that will renew the authorities. The externalized maneuvers allow us to foresee the sure judicialization of the tense bond they maintain.

A spokesperson for the government sector, headed by the current secretary general, Sergio Fittipaldi, announced: “Next week we are going to make a presentation before Federal Court 1 to take note of all the irregularities that occurred in this process, and specifically the actions of Surrbac leaders who are accused”.

Chronology of the disagreement. After the assembly held last Thursday, October 5, Mas Soelsac – the group led externally by the leader of Surrbac, Franco Saillén – launched the schedule following considering itself the winner in the vote to elect the members of the Electoral Board. Fittipaldi and his people question that.

That day, following two votes by show of hands and one separating sides, Fittipaldi suspended the assembly and decided to go to the intermission, arguing that it was impossible to count the votes due to the massive turnout of members.

However, hours later, six observers from the Ministry of Labor of the Nation, Lucas Porfiri, Matías Maggi, Nicolás Pacheco, Fernando Pérez, Jorge Chalup and Guadalupe Córdoba, informed the authorities of the portfolio that “in our personal assessment we agree that in “In both votes, the motion of Affiliate María Elena Ludueña won by majority.” Ludueña was the spokesperson for Mas Soelsac, Saillén’s group.

Last Monday, October 9, the national director of Trade Union Associations of the Ministry of Labor, Mónica Flora Rissotto, issued a statement endorsing the formation of the Board with Hugo Avalos, Jonhatan Gómez and Carolina Alvarez, all members of Más Soelsac.

By virtue of that decision, the three members launched the call for general elections of union authorities for next December 20 and established that there will be multiple headquarters with ballot boxes in different parts of the provincial territory where it has members. The call is to elect the next general secretary, the deputy and those who will occupy all the positions of the union’s executive committee.

Fittipaldi’s group is unaware of this call and maintains that on Thursday the 5th there was an intermission until October 26, when the assembly should continue. With the resolution of the labor portfolio, the issue is not under discussion for Saillén and became abstract.

Given this notorious divergence, the first step announced that the current union ruling party will take will be to notify the Federal Justice of the union activities of Saillén, who is under trial and close to a trial for alleged irregularities in the Surrbac, the union of collectors. The spokespersons consulted did not give details regarding what the proposal will be. Franco Saillén is accused of economic crimes but has no countable criminal record.

A lawyer close to Fittipaldi added one more piece of information. The resolution that gave Mas Soelsac the winner will be appealed, so the National Chamber of Labor Appeals will surely intervene. From Saillén’s side they say that, even in that case, they cannot stop the elections because the appeal does not have suspensive effects.

Thus, each one continues along parallel paths in a hot prison where – as reported by this medium – there are a dozen people judicially charged with threats, damages and arguments in an unusual escalation of violent events.

CUSTODY

Last Thursday, the last business day of the week, lawyer José Dantona requested police custody from the Provincial Justice until December 20 for the three members of the Electoral Board recognized as such by the Ministry of Labor, Hugo Avalos, Jonhatan Gómez and Carolina Alvarez. The letter, which also bears the signature of Franco Saillén, indicates that there is “serious fear for the physical integrity” of the three and that is why it requests that they remain protected and with slogans until the day of the union elections. The request is analyzed by the three prosecutors that make up the Investigations Unit created by the Attorney General.
