SPENDING time with family is certainly an activity that should not be missed on the weekend. However, quite a few are confused about what activities they want to spend the weekend doing?

For those of you who are still confused about how to spend this weekend (26-27 October), the Indonesian Musical Festival (FIM) could be the answer. Taking place on 25-27 October at Ciputra Artpreneur, Jakarta, this activity is the only musical festival in Indonesia.

There are many activities related to musicals presented at FIM, apart from of course there being around 3 musical performances every day, at FIM there are also a series of interesting workshops that cover musicals in more depth.

“FMI is enlivened by various activities ranging from musical performances, exhibitions to workshops. We hope that this can be a space for young and senior artists to share experiences and create new works that can bring Indonesian culture to greater fame on the international stage,” said the Director of Film, Music & Media, Ministry of Education and Culture-Research and Technology Ahmad Mahendra, Friday (26/10).

Taking a peek at the FIM social media page, for Saturday (26/10), some of them will be showing the performance ‘Musikal Dangdut Ku Kejar Kau Sayang’ presented by Aulion, then there will also be the performance ‘Namaku Malin The Musical’ presented by Broadwayang, and the performance ‘Proud Indonesia’ presented by Hi Jakarta Production.

Meanwhile, on Sunday (27/10), there will be a musical performance ‘Radjiman: Soliloquy of the Nyai’ presented by Artswara, a musical performance ‘Bunian’ presented by the Tubaba Art School, and a musical performance ‘Storm Rider: The Ship Crew’s Point of View’ presented by Time to Play.

As for those of you who are interested, you only need to spend IDR 200 thousand/person for a one day pass ticket. With this ticket, you can enjoy all the shows that last throughout one day. (M-4)
