Atlas’ parents are Britons Bex Lewis and Will Montgomery. They start their journey when Atlas is six weeks old. The goal was to see Europe in a camper van. Each of the growth stages of Atlas was passed in different countries in Europe. Lewis says he has traveled to 23 countries so far. They also said that they hope to see at least 25 countries by the time the trip is over.

Apart from their savings, they sold many things to earn money for the trip. The journey started after renting out the house he was staying in. Atlas and his parents travel to minimize costs.
