The increase in the total value of private deposits in the Sultanate of Oman at the end of last January
The total value of private deposits with commercial banks in the Sultanate of Oman at the end of last January increased slightly by 0.05% to reach 14 billion and 494.4 million Omani riyals, compared to 14 billion and 486.5 million Omani riyals during the same period in 2021.
The monthly statistical bulletin issued by the Central Bank of Oman, according to the Oman News Agency on Saturday, stated that the total value of those deposits was represented in term deposits, which amounted to 4 billion and 722.4 million Omani riyals, and savings deposits amounting to 5 billion and 448 million Omani riyals, while The value of demand deposits is 4 billion and 51.6 million Omani riyals.
She explained that the total value of deposits represented 13 billion and 184.3 million in Omani riyals and 1.310 billion Omani riyals in foreign currencies.
