The British Grand Prixthe tenth of Formula One World Championshipwas interrupted shortly after starting due to an accident that affected several pilots -apparently, without major physical consequences- and that was caused by the contact between the English George Russell (Mercedes) and Chinese Guanyu Zhou (Alfa Romeo).
The French Esteban Ocon (Alpine), Japanese Yuki Tsunoda (Alpha Tauri) and Thai Alex Albon (Williams) were also affected in the accident, which took place at the start, in which the neerlandés Max Verstappen (Red Bull) snatched the first place from Spanish Carlos Sainz (Ferrari) who had started from pole position and will resume the race in second position.
The seven times English world champion Lewis Hamilton (Mercedes) he had advanced two places and is third; like the other Spaniard, the double world champion Fernando Alonso (Alpine), who started seventh and will resume the race in fifth position. Just ahead of the Mexican Sergio Pérez (Red Bull), who fell back two places at the start.
Zhou Guanyu, one of the most affected in the spectacular accident, is conscious and is now in the medical center of the circuit to undergo an evaluation.
