The impossible reconciliation between Laeticia Hallyday, Laura Smet and David Hallyday

Saturday evening, Laeticia Hallyday was on the set of What an era! on France 2. Asked by Léa Salamé, she spoke of the infidelities that have marred the life of a couple of Johnny and his last wife, but also the relationships she now has with Laura Smet and David Hallyday. Tense, complicated, even deleterious relationships, some will say, given the blows in the context of the singer’s legacy affair. “I think I’m the perfect culprit, but at the same time Johnny’s whole life is like that. You have to know how to accept and not have grudges, not have hatred. It’s a poisound,” she says.

The time is not for reconciliation even if Laeticia Hallyday says she wants it. “Jwould like very much. We try. One step at a time, we move forward,” she says. The problem, she adds, is that “the only one who might fix things is Johnny. But he’s gone and he didn’t before he left. I find it hard to blame him but sometimes there are nights when I want to scream and tell him: ‘But Johnny come back, come back! Solve your problems! You left me with so many things on my shoulders’.”

Now, she hopes that time will eventually calm things down. For her but also for Jade and Joy, the two girls adopted by the couple.
