The meeting of the committee was held under the chairmanship of Muslim League (N) leader and Chairman Public Accounts Committee Rana Tanveer Hussain in which various issues of Pakistan Cricket Board and Pakistan Super League (PSL) were reviewed.
The special audit report of the first and second edition of the Pakistan Super League was also presented in the meeting, while the performance of the national team, other issues of the Super League, the post-corona situation including the visit of international teams to Pakistan were also discussed. .
Speaking to the media at the Parliament House after the meeting, Chairman PSB said that no one sees that cricket has officially returned to Pakistan after 10 years, while the Zimbabwean team is also coming to Pakistan after Sri Lanka and Bangladesh. .
He said that apart from West Indies, we did not give a single penny to any team to come to Pakistan.
He said that now cricket activities have been restored in the country, more than 40 international players participated in the Pakistan Super League while 425 foreign players had applied for the league.
He said that Misbah-ul-Haq has fallen out and he will have to leave one of the posts of head coach and chief selector.
The PCB chairman said that earlier we had Indian rating companies working because we did not have trained people but now we have agreements with foreign companies for 3 years to show the matches live. Will also give training in 3 years.
Rejecting the perception that many players are unemployed due to the closure of department cricket, he said that managers and coaches will be appointed for the promotion of cricket in 100 cities of the country, which will create employment opportunities.
Ehsan Mani said that the franchisees of Pakistan Super League had been told that the financial model of the league is not effective and there is a need to work in this regard, they will solve this issue soon.
